What is Obamacare insurance?

Obamacare is the familiar name for the ACA, a law setting rules for health coverage. The Marketplace is where eligible individuals and families can compare and apply for insurance plans.

It is not one insurer or a single plan. Options, provider networks and prices depend on your location and circumstances.

Coverage for real life.

Marketplace plans include essential benefits such as emergency services, hospitalization, prescription drugs and mental health care. They also cover pre-existing conditions.

Financial help is based on your situation.

Estimated household income and other requirements may allow premium savings and, in certain cases, lower costs when receiving care. The Marketplace application determines eligibility. No specific price or assistance is guaranteed.

When can you apply for coverage?

There is an annual enrollment period. Outside it, certain life changes may open a special period, such as losing coverage, getting married or having a baby. Requirements and dates need to be reviewed for your situation.

to take the first step.

Are Obamacare and ACA the same?

Obamacare is the familiar name for the Affordable Care Act (ACA). The Marketplace lets you compare individual and family plans that meet its requirements.

Can I keep my doctor?

It depends on the plan. Before choosing, verify that your doctors, specialists and hospitals participate in the specific plan's network.

Can I get help paying for health insurance?

Possibly, depending on estimated household income and other requirements. A Marketplace application determines eligibility and available savings. Not everyone qualifies.

Can I enroll at any time?

Each program has enrollment periods. Certain life changes, such as losing coverage or having a baby, may allow special Marketplace enrollment. We'll review the dates that apply to you.

Is Medicare the same as Obamacare?

No. Medicare is a different program, mainly for people 65 and older and some younger people who meet specific requirements. It has its own options and enrollment periods.

Does submitting the form enroll me in a plan?

No. The form requests guidance and a quote. It does not enroll you in a plan or require you to buy insurance.
